Sodachrome Lightroom Preset System

Remember the Paul Simon song “Kodachrome”? Yeah, it’s in your head now, isn’t it? You’re welcome. Well, this isn’t Kodachrome…this is Sodachrome! I created Sodachrome as a way to feel some of that beautiful earthiness that Kodachrome film had, but without making photos look old or vintage just for the sake of looking old and vintage. I created Sodachrome to give my images a beautiful chrome film look but with a modern finish. This pack is designed for beautiful skin tones and colors that harken back to the era of Kodachrome and “those nice bright colors” as described by Paul Simon, complete with a nice layer of dust that has collected on the old albums and picture frames. And yes, your greens can be green. It is allowed. But if you like those warm, yellowish-brown, faded greens, Root Beer will quench your thirst. These presets are inspired by a warm summer breeze, flowing through the cedars in the Texas Hill Country and a campfire flickering into the bronzing of the dusk sky (pfffft…not really, but I thought this needed some pretentiousness like so many other preset packs out there, and since we don’t mountains here in South Texas, you get the Hill Country). But I do imagine that you’ll want to enjoy a cold Shiner Bock or Lone Star while you let Sodachrome wash over your images. I can appreciate the irony in that.
